Born and raised in Brazil, Rebeca moved to the United States in 2014 and graduated from CalPoly San Luis Obispo in 2020 with a B.S. in Public Health and a B.A. in Ethnic Studies, as wellas a minor in Womxn’s and Gender Studies. In 2018, she joined the Fejerman Lab as a research analyst to work on the hereditary breast cancer education program for Spanish-speaking Latinas. Rebeca currently works as a healthcare consultant for Ernst & Young to help companies optimize their operations and business models while maximizing quality health care. In a few years, she hopes to pursue a double graduate degree in Public Health and Business Administration (MPH/MBA). Rebeca is passionate about research that focuses on racial and ethnic health disparities, and hopes to use public health as a tool for social justice. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, doing spin classes, walking on the beach, and spending time with her family
