Dr. Fejerman is committed to contribute to the elimination of the asymmetry in the amount of knowledge that is being produced about breast cancer etiology and prognosis in different populations within and outside the US. As part of this effort, she believes it is necessary to promote the career development of the next generation of diverse researchers, and make sure that they understand the importance of including diverse datasets as a key aspect of their research projects and have the necessary tools to conduct studies in diverse populations.
We are actively seeking potential postdoctoral fellows to join our team. The potential research focus of these positions is on identifying genetic and environmental contributions to breast cancer in diverse human populations, with particular interest in Indigenous American ancestry. These positions will involve advanced bioinformatic and statistical analyses of germline and tumor ‘omics’ data.
