Undergraduate Researcher
Ravinder is a fourth-year pre-health undergraduate student majoring in Biological Sciences at UC Davis. Being brought up and raised in a third world country, he saw his closed ones suffer due to a lot of inadequate or improper treatments which shaped his goal of serving the underserved communities by becoming a physician and a researcher. He is a UC Davis CURE program student and currently working on a project in the Fejerman lab to describe and test the association between breast cancer polygenic risk score distribution and tumor characteristics of Peruvian women with breast cancer from the Peruvian Genetics/Genomics of Breast Cancer study (PEGEN-BC).
Outside of school and research, Ravinder is also part of Shifa COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic, Bhagat Puran Singh Health Initiative (BPSHI), and Nishkam Sewa (UCD chapter of non-profit organization) at UC Davis. During his free time, he enjoys spending time with family, working out, gardening, and exploring different cultural foods.
