Lizeth is a doctoral student in genetic epidemiology at the University of Chicago. She completed her undergraduate studies at Augustana College in Biochemistry and French and her Masters in Public Health with a concentration in Epidemiology from the University of Illinois at Chicago. She is interested in addressing health disparities through the interweaving of genetic epidemiology with socio-behavioral research. In the Fejerman lab, Lizeth is working on assessing the impact of high-risk genetic risk variants on breast cancer risk in Peruvian women. Outside of the lab, Lizeth enjoys reading, trying new foods and spending time with her family and friends.
