Jesus Bastian is a senior at UC Davis, majoring in Global Disease Biology. Jesus is passionate about health education and increasing diversity in the medical field. After graduating in Spring 2023, he plans to attend medical school and aspires to work with underserved communities as a physician. Jesus currently serves as Vice President of the Teens for Screens student organization which aims to educate high school student in disadvantaged regions with the goal of increasing awareness of breast cancer and improving the rate of screenings. Jesus also works on the cervical cancer research project in Fejerman Lab. His interest in cancer research stems from having loved ones be affected by cancer and as a future medical doctor hopes to play a role in the prevention and cure of cancer. Jesus is also involved in the American Cancer Society and Global Medical Brigades student clubs on campus. In his spare time, he enjoys camping, spending time with family and friends, and watching boxing matches or soccer games.
