Bio

Brittany Clary is a current senior at the University of California, Davis, pursuing a B.S. in Genetics & Genomics as well as a minor in Public Health Sciences. Her plans after graduation are to attend medical school in pursuit of an M.D. in emergency medicine pediatrics but shares an enthusiasm for breast cancer research. Under the guidance of Fejerman lab, Brittany is currently serving as President of the Teens for Screens UC Davis student-run organization, which is a program designed to increase breast cancer education in socioeconomically disadvantaged communities, particularly with high-schoolers and middle-schoolers in these areas. It is the mission of Teens for Screens to increase mammogram knowledge and screenings in the communities after adolescents provide education to their parents, guardians, and local community members post-T4S outreach. Additionally, at the Fejerman Lab, Brittany conducts research based on the community outreach success rates of Teens for Screens through anonymous questionnaires. In her free time, Brittany enjoys hiking, attending music festivals, trying new foods, and being a dog mom to her menace of a Shih-Tzu, Nigel.
